Long Eaton Public Library
The challenge starts with some ice and lots of patience here in Derbyshire. The Geocache app will direct you to a public library where you’ll need to politely whisper to the librarian to give you The Coordinator! All very clandestine! Once she’s handed it to you, take a seat and this is where the ice you brought along, and a lot of patience comes into play, because you need to cool The Coordinator down by 10 degrees for the magic to happen.
Wake The Coordinator Up!
When you pick him up tip him upside down twice and he’ll wake up! Use the ice on The Coordinator to reveal the coordinates very slowly. Be patient as this takes time. When the coordinates finally appear, you need to quickly write them down before he goes back to sleep. If you don’t get the coordinates, you’ll have to wait 30 minutes before you can try again!
Book Your Perfect Stay
The Park
The coordinates will lead you to a nearby park where the 2nd part of the Geocache is hidden. You’ll need to thoroughly search to find the magnetic key safe Cache on the right-hand side of a gate. Once found don’t forget to sign the logbook.
Final Thoughts
This is one of the coolest caches I’ve ever come across. We had such a laugh as we tried to cool him down with our block of ice.
