Ay-up!
Over the last few years, I have been exploring lots of amazing spots around the UK! In all honesty it’s become an addiction – being out in the fresh air is now something I get out of bed for. It’s quite funny because I used to laugh at people who used to get into their hiking gear and go out walking over the hills but since lockdown, I have learnt that almost everyone in the hiking community are the best kind of people you’ll ever meet! If you ever want to join a welcoming community – join some hiking Facebook groups (or even better… follow me) and get yourself out into the countryside! You won’t be disappointed!
So yes, ay-up! Nice to meet you. I am one of those people who could spend hours in Go Outdoors or Decathlon looking for gear for my next hike – it’s so exciting!
Not only do I spend most of my time in various places around the UK, but I am also capturing EVERY moment for my YouTube vlogs. I find it so motivating to be able to show people our country, our own backyard! I also have followers all over the world who are so interested to see UK hot spots. I love to inspire people to travel and give people who aren’t physically able to get outside a chance to watch these places through video. A kind of virtual experience.
A little secret but before I even got into hiking, I used to go on massive roadtrips around the world. Canada, Namibia, America to name a few. I think I have always been interested in seeing the world but when we went into lockdown, I only had my local walks to explore. This really got me thinking about the UK and how much more there is to see!
I hope to go on more trips around the world (Iceland is on the bucket list) but for now I am really enjoying visiting The Peak District, The Lake District and Wales! I just can’t get enough of them!
