The Peak District has something for everyone from walking through fantastic scenery on a Gritstone Escarpment, to exploring a hidden valley with gushing streams and waterfalls. Perhaps you’d enjoy a visit to the Caves at Castleton with their amazing rock formations and rare stones followed by a drive or walk up Winnats Pass in awe of its iconic scenery.
A visit to Chatsworth House and Gardens with its 25 magnificent rooms and 105-acre garden, it is certainly Derbyshire’s finest Manor House. It also has special seasonal events at Christmas.
Wander around the historic towns of Buxton and Bakewell and enjoy a show at Buxton Opera House and visit one of several spas. The market town of Bakewell is ideal for a walk and sells the famous Bakewell Tarts.
Another favourite place, especially for families, is Matlock Bath, with its cable car and caves plus it’s very near to Crich Tramway Museum and its recreated period village.
