Ay-up!
Join me on an easy 6 mile hike around Lathkill Dale and beyond!
This hike includes walking across many fields with fantastic views of The Peak District…for miles, climbing over many stiles, descending down steep steps to the valley, walking along Lathkill Dale, a detour to Batemans House, little caves and then finishing off with a pint at the end most probably at the Lathkill Hotel!
“Lathkill Dale is one of the country’s finest limestone valleys. Its steep sides enclose a world of crystal clear streams and mossy rocks, precipitous woodlands and grasslands, making it a haven for wildlife.” – this was on a signpost! :’)
MEET AT OVER HADDON CAR PARK (DE45 1HZ) @ 9:00am! The hike will start at 9:30am!! There is a big car park (CASH ONLY OR YOU CAN PAY BY PHONE) !! There is also plenty of roadside parking too (FREE)
**DISCLAIMERS**
– I am not an experienced guide
– We will be walking through lots of fields with cows but we will walk around to give them space.
– This walk is NOT suitable for big dogs because of the many stiles to climb over. Small dogs can be carried over.
– Lathkill Dale is currently very dry at the moment (no waterfall) but hoping for showers before the walk!
– I will also be making a YouTube video of this day too!
