The Peak District has plenty of lovely places to stay to fit most budgets, including campsites, self-catering cottages, pubs and stylish country house hotels. Imagine driving to The Peak District on a Friday evening after a busy week and staying at The Monsal Head Hotel, Bakewell, and waking up on Saturday morning to a glorious view of Monsal Dale and the old railway viaduct. Step out of the hotel after breakfast and begin a fantastic walk along the valley to the waterfall and Chee dale steppingstones.
Perhaps you’d rather stay in an historic country pub like The Moon at Stoney Middleton in the heart of the Peak District. It’s ideal for a visit to Chatsworth House and historic Eyam Village, and of course there are also plenty of very reasonably priced cottages all over the Peak District. There really is something for everyone. However, before booking it’s advisable to read reviews to make an informed choice.
