Although it’s lovely to go on a peaceful walk by yourself or with a friend, it’s often a lot of fun to go on an organised group walk. There are so many wonderful things about joining a group walk. Firstly, you’re going to meet a lot of new and like-minded people, and you will end up chatting to some of them, and possibly making friends. A group walk will be led by me who knows the route, so you won’t get lost, no need to worry (if you do worry that is) about whether you have taken the wrong turning.
If you’re anxious about your safety, then a group walk is ideal because if you fall over there will be help at hand. Everyone’s always very friendly and encouraging. There’s always someone taking photos and maybe recording the magical moments on their phone, which are always fun to look at afterwards.
If you decide to join my group walk, please make sure you arrive on time because we probably won’t wait for you if you’re late. Bring plenty of drink and food in case you get hungry. Most group walks finish next to a pub so everyone can have well earned drink and a good old chat afterwards.
